| COLLEAGUE Definition: A person that you work with, especially in a profession or a business. ______________________________________________________________________ * All fifteen elements, at the least, should be in. 1. Person has a purpose and considers it necessary to work alongside. 2. Position or rank or status of person is same with, or very close or similar to, yours - not the boss or that deputy! (To emphasize.) 3. Person was properly employed or engaged. That is, appropriately qualified, recruited, appointed, selected, elected, etc. 4. An active member of the trade union, if any/applicable. 5. A collaborator, not destroyer or 'competitor'. 6. A partner in progress, not a 'cog in the wheel' or an 'arch-rival'. (Connect to #4.) 7. A 'sounding board', not some stumbling block. That is, person can be relied upon to give candid advice, whenever requested to do so. 8. A helper, not a spoilsport - even if not a buddy! 9. Conscientious worker: efficient (hardworker) and effective (determined) labourer. 10. Courteous, especially to you and officious, whenever necessary. 11. Commits no illegality at work or in relation to work. 12. Cares for, fair to, and concerned about you. 13. True and honest at all times, especially with regards to job. 14. Healthy and fit, especially whenever at work or in a gathering of fellow professionals - not a person with a communicable disease! 15.
