| COLLABORATOR (2) Definition: (disapproving) A person who helps the enemy in a war, when they have taken control of the person's country. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (?), in traitor's opinion! 2. Did not help enemy before the takeover. (Connect to #3.) 3. Has a reason for dining with the devil - even if this is never understood or appreciated by the other loyal citizens. 4. Help rendered is of the appropriate kind - does not result in deaths to countrymen or a destruction of the natural environment. 5. Person has all his or her interests protected by conquering forces. That is, no unplanned loss occurs for traitor. 6. (Reserved.) (Person is not a double agent!) 7. Person does not change his or her nationality during period. 8. Person achieves objective(s) of betrayal (connect to #5 & #6). 9. Gets or got away with treachery. That is, after his or her country regains independence, no repercussion is suffered by this person.
