| COLD COMFORT Definitions: i. The fact that something that would normally be good does not make you happy because the whole situation is bad. ii. If you say that a slightly encouraging fact or event is cold comfort to someone, you mean that it gives them little or no comfort because their situation is so difficult or unpleasant. ______________________________________________________________________ * GERRRROUT ! And cannot be improved or enhanced to provide or offer, a better outcome or greater alternative. 3. Ends up actually being a distraction or an obstacle as a result of the time or space that thing will take or occupy, or the resources that will be expended on event or activity. 4. Remains in place or will be present for an unnecessarily long period of time. And thing cannot be destroyed, or avoided, or disguised, or ordered away. 5. No sign or chance, prospect or hope, etc. of a possibility or likelihood that thing will have a turnaround or turn out to be advantageous or beneficial. ________________________________________ ...
