| COERCION (1) Definition: (formal) The action of making somebody do something that they do not want to do, using force or threatening to use force. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful - for the person using force or issuing threat. 2. There is a necessity in the opinion of person using or issuing force/threat to try to secure goal(s) by non-peaceful means. 3. What is attempted to be forced to be done is not an illegality. 4. Nothing is or will be benefited from the act by the person forced or compelled or threatened. 5. No injury or wound or unplanned damage to body or part(s) of the body, instrument(s) or tool(s), in the course of using force or issuing threat. 6. The act or action, on doing the thing, does/did not end up being enjoyed by who is/was forced (to emphasize, connect to #4). 7. Force or threat achieves objective(s).
