| CODE OF CONDUCT Definition: An agreement on rules of behaviour for the members of a group or organization. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for the members. _____________________________________________ Necessity is the mother of invention. 2. Rules are specific and identifiable. _____________________________ Better safe than sorry. 3. Demands of the rules are real or realistic. And all are sensible and legal. Rules are measurable and/or assessable. And these are reviewable or can be amended, whenever needed. __________________________________ Blood is thicker than water. 5. Clear and concise - not complex, confusing or obscurantist. ______________________________________ Every cloud has a silver lining. 7. Has provisions for sanctions of defaulter(s) or erring member(s). That is, rules are ordinarily enforceable. __________________________________ The end justifies the means. 8.
