| CLOCK (1) Definition: An instrument for measuring and showing time, in a room or on the wall of a building (not worn or carried like a watch). ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (see definition). 2. Never runs fast (early), never crawls slow (late). That is, works excellently and not correct only twice a day ! 3. Plain and transparent glass, if any, covering face of instrument is clean and clear - not dirty or dusty or cracked or opaque! 4. If instrument is an alarm or 'talking' or with a chime, it must not be too loud to be a disturbance or nuisance (to emphasize). 5. Placed or positioned in a point where it can be clearly and completely seen. That is, not covered! 6. Securely fixed on a wall or placed appropriately, where it cannot cause an injury to persons or animals if it falls or slips off, and stops working. 7. Has second, minute and hour hands!
