| CLINICAL TRIAL Definition: When a new type of drug or medical treatment undergoes clinical trials it is tested directly on patients to see if it is effective. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to check 'progress'. 2. Authorized or approved by the relevant regulatory agency. 3. Patients will be the most appropriate and suitable types. 4. Consent and endorsement, as applicable, from patients and/or legally approved relations, will be obtained before start of tests. 5. Documentation and full recordings of finding(s) will take place. That is, established processes and procedures will be fully observed. 6. No unplanned loss, damage, etc. will be suffered by guinea pigs. 7.
