| CLINCHER (1) Definition: (formal) A fact, a remark or an event that settles an argument, a decision or a competition. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. There is a real doubt or dispute. That is, a need exists for the use of fact, remark or event. _______________ NOT A LIE. (confession) 3. There is a need to bring matter to a conclusion. 4. Thing is introduced timely to help avoid a worsening of a situation and/or a further waste of time. ______________________ NOT OBSCURANTISM. Thing when applied, prevents a loss of further losses that would certainly have occurred, to some or all the parties involved, whoever is deemed a winner or loser in the circumstance. 6. Closure brought to situation is permanent.
