| CLAIM (3) Definition: [ ~ (for something) ] A request for a sum of money that you believe you have a right to, especially from a company, the government, etc. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Genuine. That is, a service was provided, for which you are making or made a demand. In other words, sum is not an advance payment - unless this arrangement is specified in a 'contract' agreement. 3. Request is made on the correct form or in the appropriate format - with all the necessary accompanying documents, etc., as required. 4. Made timely or in line with the timings/'time frame' in a contract. 5. Submitted to the appropriate person/authority! 6. Cost or sum claimed is not inflated !! 7. Request is treated, as appropriate.
