Definition: A large and important town.

1. Purposeful and necessary.

2. Planned. That is, large and important town is well-built: with districts, industrial areas, recreational spots, good roads/bypass route(s), etc., etc.

3. Safe (crime-free), secured (drug-free), protected (not under siege) and welcoming (family-friendly).

4. Its facilities and infrastructures are modern, functional and complete - powered 24/7, proper sewage, constantly running public water, health and relaxation provisions, etc., etc.

5. Well-administered. That is, its mayors, councillors, chiefs, etc. are efficient and effective in the management and administration of big and important town (to emphasize).

6. Clean, neat and tidy. That is, the public health boards and organizations carry out their responsibilities promptly, effectively and efficiently. And the citizens have the highest standards of personal hygiene.

7. Not too expensive to live in and not of cheap quality either.

8. Largeness and importance are not in doubt. That is, there will always be something to discover and a necessity to go to visit or stay in big town. (To emphasize.)

9. Town is not susceptible to the destructive forces of nature. That is, structures and/or settlements in town are not directly built on 'fault lines' or in sure 'danger zones' (connect to #17).

11. Provides real opportunities for goals, dreams and aspirations to be pursued - even if not realized (connect to #10).

12. Big town has no slums or shanties within or close by.
