Definition: (formal) Using more words than are necessary, instead of speaking or writing in a clear, direct way.

3. Time and space occupied by extra words are not ones meant for other activity or another thing. That is, nothing was loss or left undone, unused, etc. that was necessary to be done or used.

4. 'Sermon' was listened to or read through completely.

5. Message intended is not lost or made more confusing by the use of extra words.

6. Speech or writing was directed to the appropriate audience. (Connect to #7.)

7. Use of more words achieves objective(s). That is, reader, listener, learner, etc. benefits from verbosity (connect to #1).
