| AIRDROP Definition: The act of dropping supplies, soldiers, etc. from an aircraft by parachute. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered a necessity. 2. Approved by the relevant military and/or political authority. 3. Planned and executed according to the tactic. (Connect to #5 & #6.) 4. Drop zone is not missed, whatever the condition of the weather. 5. All the supplies and soldiers will be discharged (to emphasize). And they will land intact, safely and completely. 6. Time taken to complete operation will be considered as appropriate. 7. No unplanned loss arises from operation. That is, supplies do not fall into the wrong hands, aircraft is not fired on, and soldiers do not become POWs, on being captured, after landing. 8. Act achieves objective(s).
