All children have the right to primary education, which should be free and of good quality [Article 28].

When adults are making decisions that affect children, children's opinions should be taken into account [Article 12].

Children should be registered at birth. They have the right to an official record of who they are - their name, nationality and family ties [Articles 7 & 8].

Children have the right to live with and be cared for by their parents. Parents have the primary responsibility for bringing up their children, respecting the best interests of the child [Articles 7, 9 & 18].
