| CHEAT (1) Definition: (British English) A person who cheats, especially in a game. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Person has a purpose! 2. Necessity, in the opinion of cheater to disobey rule(s). 3. Person is fully aware of the rule(s) and the consequences of not abiding by this/these. ___________ 4. Disobedient act is not perpetrated in conjunction with the umpire, official, other player(s), etc. 5. 'Dishonest' act or action gives an advantage that is considered important in the cheater's opinion. That is, wrongdoing is worth it in the doer's estimation. ___________ 6. Advantage obtained from wrongdoing was maximally utilized. 7. Person gets/got away with the 'sin'. That is, cheater is/was never found out and if discovered, not penalized or punished. ___________ 8. Person admits or will admit wrongdoing, sooner or later - though he or she may never be 'sorry' for the victory obtained through a dishonest mean. That is, person has a conscience (connect to #9). 9. This person will not ordinarily support or encourage others to cheat, especially if not collaboratively and/or where no benefit will get to him or her from the other's misdemeanour!
