| CHEAPNESS (3) Definition: (disapproving) A condition of being low in price and quality. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Production was cheap! That is, ingredients, production processes, quality assurance, etc. were of poor quality or of the lowest standard. 2. Thing is not presented as being made of a higher quality. 3. No excuse or justification is given, by seller/vendor for the low price. That is, poorness could have been avoided! 4. Extra expenses will be incurred to maintain or service thing or to retain product/service, after it has been purchased. 5. Output of product or result of service is naturally poor (see definition, to emphasize, connect to #1). 6. Use of thing will result in a damage or destruction that will cause an additional expenditure (connect to #4 & #5). 7. 'Poor' thing bought 'cheap' serves purpose(s) for the buyer/user/patron. That is, 'value for money' was obtained from product/service. 8. Expectation or hope at the time of acquiring (= buying) thing was not really for a thing of a higher quality (connect to #1 & #2). ______________ * TRASH ! | |
