| CHEAPNESS (2) Definition: A situation of charging low prices. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful for seller or service provider (connect to #3). 2. No legal compulsion to go low on price/pricing. And situation does not arise as a result of price-fixing or a price war! 3. Necessity in seller's/provider's opinion to lower price. That is, there is a justification for reduction (connect to #2). ___________ 4. Amount arrived at was properly calculated. That is, low charge is not an arbitrary reduction that can result in a loss for a business (= seller, company, government, etc.). In other words, new low price is not below the cost price or production cost. (Connect to #5.) 5. No unplanned loss or losses arise from the lowering of a charge. ___________ 6. Quality of good or service does not reduce as a result of reduced price. That is, appropriate value is still got for goods and services. 7. Product or service is available in enough quantities. ___________ 8. Availability of products and services is for all, not restricted to a select few. 9. Act (= reduction) serves purpose(s) or achieves objective(s) - closing sales, restocking, etc. ___________ 10.
