| CHASE (5) Definition: (idiomatic - a wild goose chase) A search for something that is impossible for you to find or that does not exist, that makes you waste a lot of time. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful for you, initially! That is, you believed that thing could be found or did not know that it did not exist. 2. You were not warned beforehand about futility of intended pursuit. Or you disregarded the forewarning, if any, that you got. 3. You had built castles in the air in expectation of success or victory (connect to #1). 4. There were other activities that could have engaged your time and efforts. That is, time used (wasted) was not free time! 5. You used a lot of energy and resources, apart from time, on the endeavour (to emphasize). 6. No injury, wound or unplanned loss occurs to you during the chase. 7. No illegality was committed by you throughout the (mis)adventure. 8. Lesson or lessons is/are learned at the end of chase. 9. (Reserved.)
