| CHAPEL OF EASE Definition: A chapel dependent upon a parish church, for parishioners who live far from the church. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, especially for the few parishioners. 2. Located close by, in the opinion of congregation. That is, they won't require transport to get to church for service, worship, etc. 3. Truly independent; won't make returns to parish church, especially if the income, nay, collection is likely more than that of the parish. 4. Has an excellent organization and administration. That is, makes little demands on members and the sermons, etc. take minimal time. 5. The building will not be owned by a single individual or family. 6. Serves purpose(s), but, only if these Christians make heaven. ____________________________________ SIGNIFICANT, NOT SYMBOLISM. | |
