| CHALLENGER (1) Definition: A person who competes with somebody else in sport or in politics for an important position that the other person already holds. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Has a purpose and thinks it necessary - to perform, or achieve, not merely for ego's sake! 2. Challenge mounted is 'clean', without seeking help from unauthorized or unapproved person or group or person(s). ________ 3. Natural, original. That is, without the use of banned substances, employment of an illegal process etc. (connect to #2). 4. Person does not have undue support from competition or electoral officials, even if this help is unsolicited (connect to #2). ________ 5. Campaign to challenge another does not involve financial inducements of the umpires, officials, etc. That is, efforts are based on ability or skill, manifesto, strength of character, etc. (To emphasize.) 6. Person will be one who knows what to do when he or she gets the 'prize' (connect to #9). ________ 7. Person challenging who wins (= victor) will not 'shove' success in the face or faces of the vanquished person(s). 8. Person performs better or achieves more than the one that was defeated, by the standard attained (in sport), or when he or she gets into office (in politics). 9.
