| CHAIN OF COMMAND Definitions: i. The way a business or organization organizes what decisions can be taken and how much control people have at each level. ii. A system in an organization by which instructions are passed from one person to another. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary - conducive working environment, stable labour relation, group progress, etc. (BOARD/COUNCIL/AGM, ETC. to ...) 2. Way is specific and identifiable. That is, system will have some formalized, controlled, legally established organs, teams, etc. in place. (MANAGEMENT/DIRECTORATE/BRANCH, ETC. to ...) 3. Clear and easy to understand, meaning that proper processes and procedures will be available and in operation in the business or organization. (BOSS/HEAD/CHAIR, ETC. to ...) 4. Links will be orderly and credible; systematic - right directions, sure commitments, etc. That is, no split or factions in group or organization. (SUPERVISOR/LEADER/LINE-MANAGER, ETC. to ...) 5. Responsive and active. That is, each stage will be complete and able to react or adjust, when required. (TRAINEE/RECRUIT/JOINER, ETC. to ...) 6. The way (= method or style) achieves goal(s) or serves purpose(s) - corporate stability (= harmony).
