i. The writing and issuing of political or controversial pamphlets: the occupation of a pamphleteer (a historical term for someone who creates or distributes pamphlets, unbound (and therefore inexpensive) booklets intended for wide circulation).

ii. A means of propagating new or controversial ideas through the distribution of inexpensive and easily produced tracts or pamphlets.

iii. The printing and distribution of pamphlets, especially as propaganda.
