| CENSUS (1) Definition: The process of officially counting something, especially a country's population, and recording various facts. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Approved or authorized. That is, not an illegal process. __________________ 3. Conducted by professional demographers, enumerators, etc. ________ a. Planning (= delineation, 'test-run', etc.) b. Preparation (= logistics, publicity, etc.) c. Procedure (= visits, questionnaires, etc.) d. Execution (= count, recording, etc.) e. Review (= timing, post-remuneration activities, etc.) f. g. h. __________________________________ See perfect POPULATION (1). 4. Comprehensive and concluded. That is, all areas and regions of the country are captured during the exercise. 5. Results of count are accepted. That is, result released are not disputed or rejected by a part or parts of the country. In other words, exercise is accurate or near accurate or fairly approximate. ________ 6.
