| CELLMATE Definition: A prisoner with whom another prisoner shares a cell. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine or ten elements, as applicable, should be in. 1. Person is well-behaved at all times, in or out of 'room'. 2. Supports and cooperates with the other mate, in every situation, but only within the confines of the law and/or prison regulations/rules! 3. Clean, neat and tidy. That is, mate has the highest level of personal hygiene - no body or mouth odour, no smelly feet, etc. ________ INNOCENT OR GUILTY. (See perfect SEATMATE.) 4. Person is not the criminal with whom the other prisoner committed crime for which they were imprisoned (if applicable). 5. Person is healthy and has no annoying personal habits. That is, mate is not likely to pass an infection to the other prisoner or do things that will make life more miserable for mate. 6. Mate is not a member of a prison gang or of a rival prison gang! (To emphasize.) ________ A LIFER OR A DEATH ROW OR AN AWAITING TRIAL. (See perfect INMATE.) 7. 'Co-resident' is not a practitioner of sodomy or lesbianism or masturbation or a rapist! 8. Mate is not a bully or 'terrorist' or an unduly aggressive person. ________ WHATEVER HIS OR HER SEXUALITY. (See perfect FLATMATE.) 9. Person will leave prison at the same time with mate (= on parole) or a short while after the other inmate is released (= on completion of his/her term), especially if not on death row. 10.
