Definitions:

i. Refers to a popular movement emerged in England in the early nineteenth century, led by artisans who protested against the growing use of machines in the productive process - especially threshers and looms -, they considered that their use destroyed the employment and deteriorated the working conditions.

ii. A nineteenth century movement against the implementation of certain technologies in manufacturing industries due to their fear that this might render skilled people jobless.

iii. Luddism, at its core, is the thesis that technology must serve human life, rather than the other way round, and that often the use of technologies does not make for better or happier societies.
