| CASH COW Definition: (business) The part of a business that always makes a profit and that provides money for the rest of the business. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful, even if not originally meant to provide this. 2. Makes genuine profits. That is, no illegalities are involved or committed in the process of making financial gains. 3. Part (= department, group, etc.) is well-established, well-funded and 'professionally' managed to continue to make profit. In other words, 'cow' is always being 'fattened'. 4. No wastage, mismanagement, misapplication or misappropriation or corruption in this part of the (a) business. That is, declared profit is the full profit made; no pilferage, no embezzlement. 5. Part producing money, even if it is a subsidiary, is owned by all the parts of the business as a whole (to emphasize). 6. 'Milk' (= money, assets, etc.) produced by 'cow' is adequate in quality (= currency/currencies) and quantity (= sum/amount). 7.
