9. Serving purpose(s), even if it is not justly.

10. Acquiring facts, on extant law, if needed.

Can act, talk (= try to argue), write, delay, etc.

Law isn't jury, or judge, or counsel, or officer.

Not a scofflaw, even if taking advantage of 'ass'.
