Self-care
SELF-CARE

Definitions:

i. In health care, self-care is any necessary human regulatory function which is under individual control, deliberate and self-initiated.

ii. Describes a conscious act one takes in order to promote their their own physical, mental, and emotional health.

iii. A multidimensional, multifaceted process of purposeful engagement in strategies that promote healthy functioning and enhance well-being.

iv. Anything you do to take care of yourself so you can stay physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy.

v. The ability of individuals, families, and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and to cope with illness and disability with or without the support of a health-care provider.

Physical:

b. Hygiene. Exercises and yoga.

Spiritual:

a. Free spirit, high-spirits.

b. Animal spirits present too.

c. Prayerful and/or faithful and trusting the Holy spirit.

d. Spiritual-mindedness from having a spiritual direction.

Psychological:

a. Self-preservation.

b. Meditation regular.

c. Introspection is often.

d. Realism acknowledged.
