| CARER Definition: (British English) A person who takes care of a sick or an old person at home. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary - duty, responsibility, compassion, etc. 2. Person is healthy, clean and tidy, fit and agile. _________________________ HEALTH IS WEALTH. 3. Person providing care has faculties/senses working excellently. That is, he or she is in a proper frame of mind at all times, trained or not, on paid employment or not! 4. Person is not self-centred or selfish or self-absorbed or self-defeating or self-indulgent or self-opinionated or self-pitying or self-righteous or self-serving or self-loving. That is, care provider is selfless and self-sacrificing; LOVING. (Connect to #3.) _____________________________ CARE IS LIFE AND LOVE. 5. Person giving care performs duties responsibly! That is, provides the appropriate care, timely and 'professionally'. (Connect to #4.) 6. Provider of care does not insist on being verbally appreciated or immediately compensated, especially by the patient, for the care that he or she is providing. _____________________________________________ CARING PEOPLE ARE THE BEST ASSETS ! 7. Never goes on strike, a protest or an 'industrial action'. 8. Care achieves some objective(s).
