Cardinal sin (1)
CARDINAL SIN (1)

Definition: (sometimes humorous) An action that is a serious mistake or that other people disapprove of.
______________________________________________________________________

* All eight elements should be in.

1. Clearly known to be a wrong action by the 'sinner'. That is, action would be deliberately done.

2. Action is done openly or glaringly, or will come to the open clearly, and cannot, therefore, be denied.

3. Some satisfaction, advantage, benefit or gain will be expected, by the 'sinner' from wrongdoing.

4. A justification or an explanation will not be demanded for wrong or bad action by an angry or a disappointed party.

5. (Reserved.) (A disapproval by the others was not quite expected. And action that is a serious mistake cannot be punished by the law.)

6. Probable negative reaction or response (= condemnation) to action (= mistake or error) will be surely expected by the wrongdoer.

7. The wrong or bad that will be done which will be disapproved, will not be possible to be undone, unmade or made up for.

8. Action will be regretted by 'sinner', whether or not a lesson is learned therefrom and even if not apologized for.
