| CARCASS (1) Definition: (British English) The dead body of an animal, especially of a large one or of one that is ready for cutting up as meat. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (to emphasize). 2. Fresh. That is, very recently killed (= not 'died'). __________________ 3. Animal was killed appropriately (if applicable). 4. Body is not yet at the mercy of destructive forces. That is, germs, diseases, infections, flies, etc. have not descended on it. __________________ 5. No part of dead body will be missing or stolen or taken by animals, bird of prey, etc. That is, body will be complete. 6.
