| CAPACITY BUILDING Definition: (informal) The act or process of acquiring the wherewithal required to perform the responsibilities of or meet the challenges that a company or corporation, an institution or organization, etc. performs or faces. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to be undertaken. 2. Actions will be specific and identifiable. 3. Activities will be measurable or assessable. 4. Training, education, etc. will be realistic. 5. Process will be commenced and completed on time. 6. Development will be current, up-to-date and forward-looking. 7. The level(s) or stage(s), standard(s) or quality or qualities to be attained, on conclusion of the building process, will be adequate. 8. Jobs or vacancies, chances or openings, etc. will be available. 9. Enhances preparedness and readiness and contributes to the growth and development of an entity. That is, efforts will serve purpose(s). In other words, efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, etc. can or will be improved as a direct outcome of investments in capabilities. _________________ STRATEGIC.
