| CANNON FODDER Definition: Soldiers who are thought of not as people whose lives are important, but as materials to be used up in war. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to think and treat soldiers as such. 2. Selected soldiers will be considered as appropriate - not those who have undergone specialists training and have been promoted afterwards to relatively senior or higher ranks. 3. Will be available in adequate numbers to 'protect' or 'shield' the so-called real combatants. 4. (Reserved.) (Never inclusive of one, a few, some or all with (a) prospect(s) for/or leadership abilities/qualities.) 5. Soldiers in group will not be in a position to go AWOL or abscond, cannot refuse orders or be involved in a mutiny! (To emphasize.) 6. None in group will be married, either or not with a family or families (= kid or children!). 7. Will be 'launched' at the front line. That is, soldiers will be taken directly to the thick of the battleground or lead an attack into battle (connect to #5). 8. Serves purpose(s), dead or alive, and whether war is won or not. And never remembered after the war! 9. Entitlements due to the next-of-kins of deceased 'warriors' or an 'Unknown Soldier' will be quickly paid. And surviving soldiers, with injuries, if any, will be promptly discharged from the armed forces. __________________________ * EXPENDABLES ! | |
