Lead or advantage had prior failure thought unassailable. 2. Finishing line like attainable; victory lap is being planned. 3. Luck disappears or reserved resources inexplicably lost. STRANGEST.... GOOD, BETTER, BEST, 'PERFECT', becoming 4. Excuses or justification not possible in the circumstance. 5. Funny side of calamity not seen so reacted to negatively. 6. Causer or cause cannot be sanctioned or won't apologise. FORLORNLY.... some MIGHT-HAVE-BEEN, WISHFUL THINKING, DON'T KNOW. 7. Loss resulting from experience gargantuan, irrecoverable. 8. Lesson isn't going to be learned from very 'bad and ugly'. 9. Fallout lasts long before shock is forgotten or overcome. REGRETTED.... eventually turns out BAD, WORSE, WORST. WHENEVER.
