| CAMPSITE (1) Definition: (British English) A place where people on holiday/vacation can put up their tents, park their caravan, camper, etc., often with toilets, water, etc. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven or twelve elements, as applicable, should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (to emphasize, see definition). 2. Specific and identifiable. That is, place is known as located within a camping area/zone. 3. Campground has natural features and is far from city pollution - industrial or noise (to emphasize). 4. Not too far away for campers! That is, does not take 'forever' to get to or return from (connect to #3). __________________ 5. Water for use to wash, bathe, etc. in camp, should be from natural sources - rivers, streams, lakes, etc. 6. Toilets should be of a temporary nature or of a mobile kind (see definition). 7. Facilities should be available for a campfire, if need be. That is, dry wood(s), leaves, grass, etc. are in adequate supply in the environment. 8. (Reserved.) (Animals, if any, around place are not the deadly kinds that will make stay a nightmare!) __________________ 9. Place is considered appropriate: can be seen from the skies, in case of a helicopter search and rescue operations, for campers in an emergency! That is, site is not located in a very dense forest. 10. Communication can still be established with the 'outside' world from this location. That is, reception or signal for phone calls or simple electronic gadgets must be available in this place. 11. Place is occupied by campers ! (To emphasize, connect to #8.) 12. There would be adequate and/or available space for the complete number of tents, caravans, campers, etc. to be used while camping.
