| GENTLE READER Definition: A courteous reader, an old-fashioned phrase common in the prefaces of books. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Engages in activity for a purpose and sure necessity (to emphasize). 2. Ensures state of mind is excellent before opening or seeing material. 3. Possesses basic education to be able to know 'ABCs' or the fundamentals. 4. Utterance, if to be heard, loud and clear; if by heart, plain and true. 5. Thinking of, reasoning with, processing, etc., whatever is being read. 6. Taking all the time required, be it demanding a slow or fast process. 7.
