LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD

Definitions:

i. (usually - the leader of the free world) Traditionally, this term was used to describe the American president.

ii. The concept implies that the United States (or its president specifically) provided direction to the foreign policies of democratic states.

PS. The Free World is a propaganda term used during the cold war to refer to the Western Bloc. More broadly, it has also been used to refer to all non-communist countries.
