| SOLEMN VOW Definition: A vow as the Church takes under her special charge, solemnly accepts, as those of poverty, obedience, and chastity, involving complete and irrevocable surrender. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements must be in. 1. Mind & heart is where this pledge resides - not on paper or document. 2. Purposeful and necessary for those who make vow to make sacrifice. 3. Vows - all the Evangelical counsels - are specific and identifiable. 4. Offerings, or promises, made will be measurable and assessable. 5. Real or realistic, that is, possible to observe the related actions. 6. Timely or promptly made to have a meaning and achieve some impact. 7. Implications or consequences made known by church to who makes vow. 8. Weightiness of vow, subsequent or consequential 'burden' is affordable. 9.
