Extreme poverty
EXTREME POVERTY

Definition: A condition characterized by severe deprivation of basic human needs, including food, safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, health, shelter, education and information. [as defined by the United Nations 1995 Report of the world Summit for Social Development.]

1. Fault is not that of the abjectly poor... not disabled.

2. Chance to 'breath' is not made available... not ineligible.

3. Neighbour, if any, neither better nor useful, i.e., no likelihood of external assistance in the very dire circumstances.

4. Clothing only pass-me-downs and old gifts... not a desirable.

5. Food can only be small or little, resurrection-pies or leftovers, and with no adequate or suitable nutrients (to emphasize).

6. Standard of living continuously declining... not avoidable now.

7. Miseducation and misinformation is what any and all attempts at enlightenment and development brings to the 'forsaken'.

8. Constantly under the risk of infections... not preference.

9. So-called authority or government is aware... not convenient.

10. Never a threat to better members of the society as there will be nothing possessed to attract the seemingly well-to-do.

11. Thoughts are predominantly on the negatives... not worthwhile.

12. Takes 'anything' now... praying to 'survive'... not progressive.
