| COUPLE THERAPY Definition: A kind of psychotherapy in which a clinically experienced marriage or family therapist works with couples ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Decided, by the couple, in their right senses, that involving a third party is purposeful and necessary. 2. Mutual agreement secured or obtained about timing and choice of the professional to carry burden to. 3. Therapist performs task to be best of ability - probes, searches, questions both parties transparently. 4. Person offering therapy is married or was married for a substantial period - has some 'cognate' experience. 5. Attention, or presence of mind, of the 'patients' is secured during the sessions in which activities take place. 6. Information, or responses, given by the 'warring' parties complete and correct, and was voluntarily made. 7. Advice, suggestion, etc. proffered by therapist, is very practical or doable, sensible or wise; useful. 8. Understanding of hitherto 'complex' issue, is achieved as a direct consequence of the actions of therapist. 9.
