Definition: Begging the question (= falling into the fallacy of petitio principii, assuming what is to be proved as part of the would-be-proof).

1. Thought purposeful and necessary by who 'begs'.

2. Admission of known fact or information not made.

3. Available hint or clue, if any, is discountenanced.

4. Trickery, excuse, is used to avoid critical thinking.

5. Duration of the process or act is considered as wasted.

6. Substantial loss would be suffered as direct consequence.

7. Sure defence or excuse would be that 'question' is rhetorical.
