| BUMMER (1) Definition: (informal) A disappointing or unpleasant situation. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Expectation was high and preparations made were intensive, for an upcoming encouraging or pleasant situation. (See perfect HOPEFUL.) 2. Earlier sign(s), assurance(s) or guarantee(s) that situation would be good/beneficial or lovely/beautiful was seemingly watertight. (See perfect ANTICIPATION (2).) 3. No alternative or option in the situation to ameliorate the effect of 'no-show' or annoyance. (See perfect LET-DOWN.) 4. Event or occurence is inescapable. That is, the environment or location where undesired situation exists cannot be avoided. (See perfect PERFECT STORM.) 5. Expressions, on the visage or verbally, cannot disguise feeling. That is, it will be clear to all sensible persons that the situation in, is not exactly what was desired. (See perfect INSCRUTABILITY.) 6. Losses, disadvantage, etc. will be suffered in and from the situation. And these will not be possible to be recouped. (See perfect DEAD END (2).) 7.
