Affidavit
AFFIDAVIT

Definitions:

i. (law) A written statement that you swear is true, and that can be used as evidence in court.

ii. A written statement, sworn on oath to be true, especially one signed in the presence of (American) a notary, (British) a lawyer.

1. Purposeful (to emphasize).

2. Considered a necessity.

3. Clear and concise, complete and conclusive.

4. What it says is the truth! (To emphasize.)

5. (Reserved.) (Brings no disadvantage, disgrace or unplanned loss.)

6. Has official authorization. That is, ordinarily admissible in court. In other words, has relevant stamp or seal, signature or endorsement, etc., etc.

7. What it contains (= the truth) can be supported, on the face of it, with reasonable or credible - even if not concrete - proof. That is, there will be no obvious contradiction, in the statement, that will lead to a misgiving or doubt.

8. Serves purpose(s), whether or not the document is presented as evidence to be used in a court of law.
