| BULL'S EYE (3) Definition: (informal) If something that you do or say hits the bull's eye, it has exactly the effect you intended it to have. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Thing would have been done or said deliberately, even without a guarantee or certainty about what its end result might be. NO RETHINKING. 2. There would be some preparation and/or readiness to cope with whatever will be the outcome of the conscious action or utterance. NO SORE POINT. 3. A shock or surprise, misgivings or complaints, shame or discomfort, etc. cannot be expressed or implied in the situation. NO SELF-PARODY. 4. Any reaction or response will be considered normal. And no overreaction or retraction will take place at the time. NO RETROSPECTION. 5. The time of occurrence or happening will be that hoped for, whether early on, or at the hour, or at the eleventh hour. NO SCARE STORY. 6. No apology or regret concerning the thing will be expressed later. And there will be no wishing for more effect or less impact. NO COLD COMFORT. 7.
