Previous year's achievements could not be sustained now, though serious attempts were made to build on them. 2. CHAOS. Fallout or aftermath of the disappointments and/or letdowns of the year are still being felt or dealt with. 3. MISERY. Nothing near a projection or forecast of how bad year would turn out could have been made before year began. 4. FAILURE. Resolutions - so-called New Year resolutions - that were made, if any, were not able to be kept or fulfilled. 5. ANNOYING. Certainly had no saving grace therein. That is, no lessons would even be learned from terrible nature of year. 6. REGRETTED.
