| CASHIERING Definition: A punishment for army and naval officers, severer than dismissal, in that it disqualifies from entering the public service in any capacity (abolished 1970). ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary at the time, especially under despotism. 2. Offense deserving listed in the books (read: military laws). 3. Proper due process or lawful process of law adopted before award. 4. Jurisdiction considered 'local', i.e. no 'international' impact. 5. Loss would be suffered by cashiered one (cannot be pensionable). 6.
