| BUFFER ZONE Definition: A buffer zone is an area created to separate opposing forces or groups which belongs to neither of them. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to carve out area. 2. Non-ownership of place has been established in law. 3. Area is specific and identifiable, demarcated or not. 4. 'No man's land' will be measurable and/or assessable. 5. Its management and control will not be a subject of dispute. 6. No prospecting or exploitation will be going on in the area. 7.
